All dogs like to play with leather because it's soft, natural, and smells good. The 2 mm thick cow leather develops a stronger grip due to it's slippery surface. The comfortable and well fixed handle helps the trainer maintain control.
It seems like an off-brand knock off was sent instead of the tug I ordered. (It has no logos.) Compared to the earlier identical item I ordered, (which was still in a new condition when I compared it) this one is a harder, rougher leather, it is larger than it was supposed to be, and overstuffed. The handles are also not of the same quality as the previous edition. I will not ask my puppy to bite this.
